Built for Research

Durable stainless steel construction to withstand the demands of daily laboratory use.

The Sterivap is built to last with a 316L stainless steel chamber and 316Ti jacket to withstand potentially corrosive loads, such as biological waste, culture media, and byproduct, while stainless steel piping and valves minimize maintenance requirements, ensuring reliable performance cycle after cycle.

The Sterivap chamber is constructed from 316L stainless steel and surrounded by a 316Ti stainless steel jacket. The jacket preheats the chamber prior to sterilization to reduce condensate buildup, aids in drying porous loads, and can optionally circulate cooling water to accelerate cooling of liquid loads. Inside the chamber, steam baffles ensure consistent steam distribution while minimizing condensate wetting of the load, and a sloped floor ensures complete drainage after every cycle.

Electric motor-driven sliding doors open and close at the push of a button, eliminating the physical effort required by manual door autoclaves. Doors reverse automatically if an obstruction is detected and lock whenever pressure is present, preventing accidental opening until the chamber has fully returned to atmospheric pressure. Double door units are interlocked so only one door can be opened at a time for safe pass-through operation.

All chamber piping is stainless steel for superior corrosion resistance. Piping not in contact with the chamber is made from brass or copper. Valves are pneumatically operated for reliability, with stainless steel sanitary clamp or threaded fitting options available for applications requiring a higher level of hygiene. All piping is fully insulated and color coded for easy identification of hot and cold services.

An optional built-in electric clean steam generator with a feedwater booster pump is available for facilities where plant steam is not readily available or where a dedicated clean steam source is preferred. The integrated design eliminates the need for a separate external generator, simplifying installation and reducing the overall facility footprint.

Intelligent Controls. Effortless Operation.

Double microprocessor and modern touchscreen interface for intuitive, reliable control

The Sterivap control system is built around a double microprocessor that independently monitors itself to ensure accurate process data and reliable cycle execution. Twenty programmable cycles with a wide range of configurable parameters give your lab the flexibility to handle any sterilization application, while password protection keeps cycle parameters and calibration settings secure from unauthorized changes. Audible alarms, clear text notifications, and an automatic diagnostic system keep operators informed and in control throughout every cycle.

Sterivap Sterilization Cycles

Matched to your load type and sterilization requirements to ensure effective steam penetration while protecting the load.

Pre-Vacuum with Drying

Sterilization of porous and dry goods, including wrapped materials, filters, linens, rubber stoppers, and filling line components. Alternating vacuum and steam pulses ensure thorough steam penetration throughout the load, followed by a rapid drying phase that leaves goods dry and ready for immediate use.

Gravity Air Removal

Sterilization of glassware, instruments, waste, and liquids in open or vented containers. Steam displaces air from the chamber by gravity, providing effective sterilization without the mechanical stress of vacuum cycling and protecting container integrity throughout the process.

Gravity Air Removal with Active Cooling

Sterilization of liquids in loose or tightly sealed containers that are heat or pressure sensitive. Following the sterilization exposure phase, cooling water is introduced to the chamber jacket to accelerate cooling while maintaining pressure support, protecting sensitive containers from damage or deformation.
