Chamber Construction

Pharmaceutical-Grade Stainless Steel

The Friocell is constructed with a pharmaceutical-grade AISI 304 stainless steel chamber packed with 5 layers of insulation for improved durability, temperature uniformity, and operating efficiency. The inner chamber is seamless with rounded corners and fully removable for easier cleaning and sterilization. The chamber door is equipped with a patented 4-point closing system that seals the door to the chamber gasket and enables hands-free opening and closing.

  • Shelf brackets that do not penetrate the chamber walls – brackets are molded into the inner chamber walls 2.8″ apart.

Heat Technology

Patented Forced Air Convection

Our patented force air convection system produces simultaneous vertical and horizontal airflow for precise temperature uniformity and rapid heating and cooling times. The process of heating from the bottom of the chamber to the top simulates natural airflow, allowing for a more accurate replication of climate conditions.

Control System

Precise & Automated Control of Cycle Parameters

As standard, BMT USA devices are equipped with the ECO digital controller with the option to upgrade to the advanced EVO controller for expanded functionality and features. Both controllers employ fuzzy logic algorithms to evaluate cycle data in real-time and continuously adjust input values to maintain optimal chamber conditions. This allows for rapid heating and cooling while safeguarding against overshooting the temperature setpoint, protecting the load, ensuring the accuracy of results, and reducing cycle durations, recovery times, and power consumption.

ICH Q1B Lighting

Friocell EVO devices can be equipped with a range of lighting options for ICH Q1B photostability studies. Lighting placement, light source, and intensity controls options allow the Friocell to meet the most demanding requirements for exposure lighting applications.
