Large Volume CO2 Incubators

Friocell EVO large volume CO2 incubators provide precise control of temperature, airflow and CO2 concentration to create the optimal conditions for cell growth. The patented forced air convection system provides even temperature distribution throughout the chamber, while the standard equipped Vaisala drift-free infrared CO2 sensor provides accurate measurements over the full duration of the incubation cycle.

Vaisala Drift-Free Infrared CO2 Sensor

Vaisala drift free infrared CO2 sensors provide accurate carbon dioxide measurements to ensure samples are always incubating at the correct concentration levels. The sensor does not require any additional auto-referencing or zeroing to prevent drifting of the CO2 calibration.

Chamber Construction

Pharmaceutical-Grade Stainless Steel

The Friocell is constructed with a pharmaceutical-grade AISI 304 stainless steel chamber packed with 5 layers of insulation for improved durability, temperature uniformity, and operating efficiency. The inner chamber is seamless with rounded corners and fully removable for easier cleaning and sterilization. The chamber door is equipped with a patented 4-point closing system that seals the door to the chamber gasket and enables hands-free opening and closing.

Heat Technology

Patented Forced Air Convection

Our patented force air convection system produces simultaneous vertical and horizontal airflow for precise temperature uniformity and rapid heating and cooling times. The process of heating from the bottom of the chamber to the top simulates natural airflow, allowing for a more accurate replication of climate conditions.

Control System

Precise & Automated Control of Cycle Parameters

The advanced EVO digital controller is programmed with fuzzy logic, which analyzes cycle data in real-time and automatically adjusts inputs to maintain stable conditions. This allows for rapid heating and cooling times without overshooting the temperature setpoint, protecting the load and reducing the cycle duration, recovery time, and power consumption. The 5.7″ touch screen provides glove-friendly operation with graphical display of cycle data. EVO controllers can run an unlimited number of cycles with capacity for 100 programs each containing up to 100 segments for varying loads and parameters.
